Vandy laid a beat down on the Vols 45-24. This I believe is Vandy's first 10-win season in program history.

  • I'll stack it up against any other week top to bottom. You have Rivalry Games which on their own produce more upsets than typical weeks. Then you also have teams fighting to win their conference or ge

Rough night for A&M.  Lose their undefeated season and a spot in the SEC championship.

I mean, they beat A&M and they played OSU closer than anyone.  If Texas is not the playoffs I don't think the playoffs are legitimate.

Indiana 56 Purdue 3

If you have a football team at any level from, youth league to the NFL, with an opening, Curt Cignetti should get a call.   He'd say no, but his name has to be on everyones list.

Has to somewhat damage Notre Dame's position.  If you are going to move Texas in, you can't drop A&M below the Irish just based on head to head.

I agree but I can't forget that horrible loss at Florida.

Just saw that SJ from The Blind Side just became an AD.

I don't think we are fair when we talk about college football teams, we would never talk about a pro team that way.  Could you imagine a 9-3 pro football team "we" were keeping out of the playoffs because they had a bad loss.

Different animals entirely. Not the least of which is that there is a distinct system with absolutely no human element that dictates who makes the NFL playoffs and what they are seeded. There are more teams in CFB, and there are fewer regular season games, which amplifies the need to come up with distinguishing characteristics to set teams apart. I’m not saying the Florida loss should definitely keep Texas out, but it was a horrendous stain on their record. It should definitely be considered.

Yes, no human element.  So much better for playoffs.

NFL schedules are relatively balanced in each division, college football schedules aren't close to balanced.

I think by the time it's all said and done the vast majority will agree with all but one maybe two teams that get in. Meaning what nearly everyone considers the 10 most deserving teams will be in.

If it expands to 16, then we will probably all still agree on all but one or two teams meaning the best 14 or 15 teams made it.

While college football doesn't have, hasn't had nor ever will have a perfect system that is 100% accurate and without fault...I like the way its moving the last few years.

Additionally arguing about who should or should not be the national champ in the old poll era, in the BCS game or the CFP is as American as Pumpkin Pie on Thanksgiving.

Michigan is up 3-0 and had the ball inside the OSU 10 after a turnover.

Blocked punt puts UK in an early hole. Lack of consistent offense is keeping them in it.

6-0 Michigan with OSU at the goal line and another play that looks like maybe it should be a TD but it is third and goal with an injury timeout.
