Cards travel to Cincinnati to play the Bearcats at the Heritage Bank Center at 6:30 pm on Friday. The Cards are favored by 8.5. Louisville is #2 in offense and UC #2 in defense in the Pomeroy ratings. The rivalry that goes back many years in several conferences is renewed. Cincinnati will come to Louisville next year and play in Freedom Hall. Had St. X not be playing at same time I would have traveled up to this game. Should be many Cards fans there.

I’ve been to Nippert several times. Never 5/3, but this one is at Heritage Bank downtown.

I like Heritage Bank downtown, I went for a hockey game last season. Plus you can go to the Banks after the game if you want to hang around.

I like Jefferson Social.  Good food, normally a cool vibe and everything should be pretty much wide open early.  And I almost always sit at the bar to the right one of the last two or three seats there, just fyi.

The arena being downtown is nice. That is it though.  Place needed some TNT a long time ago.

I know it is on the old side but I still like the arena and being downtown is a huge bonus.

I am of the belief that the arena being as old as it is and in it's current shape is the reason that Cincinnati doesn't host anything on a national stage indoors. Hosted a "Frozen Four" once and a Women's Final Four around 30 years ago. But for as big as Cincinnati is to not be in the rotation for at a minimum first round NCAA tournament games says what the nation thinks of Heritage Bank Center. The occasional big concert and the Cyclones is pretty much all it is used for.

We were gonna check out Holy Grail, but it looked pretty packed. We went with Tom’s Watch Bar instead.

That used to be an upper end club but they had safety issues there.  I haven't been since it has been Tom's.

Typical in this game Louisville went 7:34 into to the game before making their first FG and trail heading to the under 12 timeout 15-6.
