No. The lost to Boone so they finished their season with the Holmes game. 

This seems like a decent job. Anyone know what admin support, pay, expectations are for this job. What is the state of the feeders and transfers. Do they lose kids when stuff like this happens?

Unfortunately I do too. 

We could talk about culture for days but that's what comes to mind for me here.

Another sense of culture as in the kids need to hold each other accountable, only because I know some of the behind the scenes stuff and it will take 3-4 years to wash that out before a difference starts.

A coach is going to need to hang around for 4-5 years.

I just wonder if the many failed retred hirings, will lead them to look at younger up and coming coaches. Someone who can grow with the program and players. 

 

Seems like following the same formula over and over hasn't resulted in success. Definition of insanity comes to mind.

2 games is not a decent season. I believe the expectation was going 500 and go to the playoffs

They went 3-7. Close to being 5-5. 5-15 in two years, but wins and losses aren't the issue here.

If I was leading the search committee I want the following:

1. A young successful assistant from one of the local NKY high schools.

2. This young coach needs to hire a experienced assistants with local ties.

3. The new coaches needs to get active in the community. Pound the feeder systems. Scott losses so many players to other local schools. Get alumni involved.

4. The middle school needs to practice or at least the same area with the high school. I could be wrong, but I thought that is what Lloyd did a number of year ago

5. The middle school needs to run a similar system as a high school 

6. Need to establish weight and performance program.  I went to a few games this year.. they are small.  They can't compete in 5A with the current size

It is just too bad. How.many coaches does this make in the last 10 years? I guess we will never know what goes on behind the scenes.

Come next year? Four.  

Not sure if this will make you feel better or throw salt on the wound, but you'd be very surprised that 3-4 coaches at one program over that duration of time is far more common across the state than you'd think.

#1 might be the hardest to find. Young successful coordinators in high school don't generally leave jobs like the NFL and college. They are harder to pry away.

#7, but really #1....the two ton pink elephant in the room that you won't find in most "Coach Speak 101 Manuals", which I can proudly say I've never subscribed to ?, but:

"Schedule as many people as possible who are undoubtedly worse than you." (actually for the AD & newly hired HFC, but nonetheless when it comes to importance of BUILDING)

 Go look at 80% (maybe more) of the schedules this year & any year. Who do wins come against? ?
