I expected Highlands to win this game but I did not expect a running clock in a Championship game. Covington Catholic is a very good Football Team and in most years is winning the Freshman Championship. This Highlands team is just next level for a Freshman team across the board. It looks like Northern Kentucky will be making some noise in the coming years and that will be good at all levels!

Now the pressure builds on the coach to get a 4-peat and the Varsity staff to win some state titles.

One Highlands fan has a very powerful voice and yells encouragement on every play.  I wonder if he can last the whole game.

CCH 1st and goal at the 6.

7-0 Birds.

That is the QB’s Dad! He will be the one yelling at Every game for the next 50 games.

Touchdown CovCath!!

Wide open in the end zone.  And I am not too impressed with how Highlands is coached, just saying.

Yes the Defense specifically the DB’s are Coached by Highlands very own Jacob Brass,  who was an All American at Georgetown. The Kid is a Dude and is finding his way nicely. I think I will keep him around.

It was more than that but congrats on the win, you had an amazing Frosh team.

Highlands plays develop so slow in the backfield, sometimes they remind me of a midget football team.

That average over 43 points per game over the course of the season. Seems to work!

Just because it works doesn't mean it can't be ugly too.

Appreciate it! Our kids are working hard and getting it done. Can’t argue that.

You're welcome and the Frosh results have been outpacing the varsity results so Kudos to the Frosh staff.

Just like in the spring @THUNDERBIRDS remember Tayden Lorenzens runs would never work , the play was to slow developing. He will never hurdle a legit defender Blah blah blah , it’s called a zone run !!! Clueless.

Its okay…That the Beauty of it! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Now whether its right or aligned with reality are two different Animals. Makes for good conversation!

Beat Colonels!

Go Birds!

- Armstrong played one of the best games you’ll ever see anyone play and was clearly the difference. Highlands also has a bunch of quality players.

- With how physically developed Bryce is and looking at his parents, I think it’s far more likely he’s close to maxed out athletically than he is to develop into some 6’3+ big time recruit. His floor is very high as an awesome high school player though, but I don’t think he’ll make them unbeatable as a junior and senior.

- Cov Cath has some really good future multi year starters: Carson Grainger (TE), Kiyan Miller (RB), Jamir Kirtley (DB/Slot), Parker Payne (Edge), William Van Auken (OL) these guys plus Brandon Smith is a great class to follow up the current sophomores. Plus I think the Cov Cath QB can match or outplay the Highlands guy the next 2 years. The next 5 games or so should be battles.

That is a very interesting and optimistic post from a fan that just got the running clock! I love Northern Kentucky Football and I sincerely hope your next 5 games (or so) are better than the two you lost this year to Highlands as well as your Varsity loss to the Raiders!
