Arkansas fires Coach Sam Pittman

Petrino, seriously?

What amazes me about these firings is that the staff the fired coach hired is still in place and running the program. They are the people who actually coach the players. This off season is going to be interesting to watch. Guys in the playoffs that would like one of these jobs will either need to leave early or wait until it's over and be at a recruiting disadvantage. One thing about Coach Petrino...he always seems to land on his feet and comes out smelling like a rose.

I wonder if there is a no volleyball clause in his contract?

I half expected to see this news late last night since the game ended so early.

Surely the search is on for the next guy already.  No way in heck he gets the permanent gig again.

Arkansas and Petrino kinda deserve each other. Supposedly a couple high dollar boosters said this past week that Petrino would not be the permanent coach.

Louisville went that road and hopefully the rest of college football learned a lesson.  Only good that game out of that was Lamar and a Heisman.

Petrino just fired 3 defensive coaches.

You know having Petrino on my staff as an assistant would make me feel like he would be back stabbing me if he had the chance to get himself into the head coaches position.  He just comes across as that kind of guy.
