Well I can say ALOT of things. Offense wouldn’t play to their advantage. Seemed like the QB was throwing to receivers coaches telling them to throw to. Dropped passes. And coach edge had a hell of a game plan. 

Catholic had a couple glaring issues. One was the passing game is really struggling. Receivers are having a hard time getting open and #6 is not seeing the field great. On defense they are stout against the run but they couldn’t pressure the QB enough and the Catholic secondary had a big problem covering the Apollo WRs. Coach Edge kept getting the Catholic defense in bad matchups and the Apollo QB didn’t miss many. 
 

The Aces ran the ball really well between the tackles but the lack of speed is making them very one dimensional. 

Maddox shut down tonight?  I know Catholic had 300 yards of rushing.

You're not going to have your A game every night.  A win is a win.

On to Rash for OCath.

For Apollo, I think this is good outcome for them.  Yes they lost, but they battled hard and Coach Edge is still scheming and is very good at getting his team as ready as he can for games.  Apollo will pull a big upset this year.  That's my prediction.

Didn’t go to game. Hearing from both sides of the game. Miles Edge will be a huge problem for OHS. I’m not looking forward to this game at Rash. If we don’t stop the run better he’s going to have a field day .

As for Apollo moving forward, build off this. You guys played your best game without Max Johnson and against the best team in Owensboro. I read where JT Edge was playing LB and QB?? I got a lot of respect for that king man. 

I thought they almost beat Catholic with max Johnson!!!  Oh wow - JT Edge who accroding to Coach Edge (dad) doesn’t get many 1st team reps all preseason and even now!  Phenomenal  job young man!  Great job Apollo - and I believe you can win any game now you’ve shown you are competitive.  

Edge really was fantastic for Apollo. He didn’t force anything and kept the Catholic defense on their heels.

Catholics passing game was limited. Apollo did a great job at stopping those big shots that Carothers likes to take. Badger and Tutt returned to true form. 
 

Owensboro’s receivers should have a solid game against OC…. OC’s secondary is going to have to improve if they want to make a shot at a state run this year.
 

Great game plan by John Edge.  Penalty ratio killed Apollo however. If they clean up some things, Apollo can win out. Hats off to JT Edge! He’s a beast! 

The only thing that would worry me about this game if I was a fan. If Beechwood played Apollo they would win by 40 so it just makes me think Beechwood is probably still the class of 2A.

If Beechwood played OC right now it would be real bad for the Aces. This team can and will be a good team but in my opinion they are not in that top 3 or 4 team discussion.

I think my theory on the Aces first win vs BG was correct. BG over looked them before the St X game. I believe the Aces overlooked a dangerous 0-2team (at the time) in Apollo before their BIG game vs Owensboro this week.
