North Oldham Mustangs ? (2-0, 4A #8)
vs.
Oldham County Colonels ?? (2-0)

? | ’Mustangs And Colonels Kick-off First Leg Of The Oldham County Championship Round Robin’

? | Colin Daniels and Lucas Tompkins were frequent collaborators last year. The QB/WR duo is off to a hot start through two weeks, hooking up for four touchdowns already. Tompkins is a two-way standout, adding two interceptions and a pick-six to supplement his offensive production. Daniels has been razor sharp, leading the Mustangs to two wins by a cumulative score of 102-7.

OC | Offense generates most of the headlines, but Oldham County has thrived on the other two phases of the game so far. The Colonels have forced seven turnovers and registered defensive and kick return touchdowns in the first two weeks. Defensive end Lincoln Weaver has been a standout with 3.5 sacks in Weeks 1 & 2.

Series History ?: North Oldham leads 7-5 all-time. This has been a streaky series with North winning the first five meetings, followed by five in a row for County. North has won the last two. Current OC coach Jamie Reed was 10-3 versus North during his tenure at South Oldham.

Both of these teams have played extremely weak schedules thus far. Coach Reed has historically had North Oldham’s number. I think North Oldham is more talented but I like the Colonels’ triple option system to get them the win here. 28-27.

I haven’t seen North play this year but I really like what I’ve seen from OC. Give me the Colonels by 10.
