I am sure Elder fans thought the personal foul call on Elder in the 4th quarter was a horrible call too. They got the ball down to the 2 yard line then were pushed back to the 17. TD there instead of missed FG puts them up 2 touchdowns and the game is over. Point is calls happen in games and they usually go both ways. You just have to push through.

If CC can figure out there rush defense they’ll be dangerous. Two losses by 6 and 8 points respectfully against two very strong teams shouldn’t be looked over. 

Nice work from several players who had to be “Next Man Up”. Saw a few starters in street clothes. No Brooks (which is a lot…WR, DB & return), Payne (who had a lot of tackles last week) and I believe I heard Robinson OL. Hopefully nothing serious.

I think their staff is fine to good, but in the last 2 years they’ve had:

1. A 6 personal foul meltdown vs Cov Cath in a loss - 2023

2. a 50 point 2nd half meltdown in the semis vs Cooper - 2024

Do you think that would happen if they were led by Eviston or Haddix? No shot. 

Their skill guys are good, but for example, is Lorenzen better than Seneca Driver at tight end? No obviously not.  Are their backs better than Cash Harney and Dylan Gaiser? Nope.

Better be great on the line of scrimmage then. 

Counter argument is those players are not on the same team. I like the fire, it makes for good conversation. Good luck next week.

 

I've also asked in the past if the coaches encourage or just don’t care about late hit penalties. Not gotten a good answer on that. They had a big one last week against Freddie D.

CovCath has to look for Bradshaw more downfield. Didn’t get targeted until the 4th quarter. Cash made some really nice throws tonight!

Not being able to punched it in for those two TDs (got the FGs instead) was the huge difference.  Get those TDS then the ballgame would have been at least tied 28-28.

Elder had 1 turnover on downs and missed the FG in the 4th quarter.  CovCath only had the INT in the 4 quarter on their last drive. 

Once CovCath makes a few more adjustments they have a very good chance to go deep into the 4A playoffs.

I feel to look for  Bradshaw downfield more he needs to get open. I could be wrong but I feel many times you could tell he wanted to take a shot and had time but had nobody to throw it to.
