Hope these officers will be ok.

The situation is still going on too. Very scary and hopefully the officers end up ok and no one else gets hurt. 

The one officer got shot 3 times and is in stable condition. I know his mother.

I know a good number of the sheriff's deputies in Boone County as well. I have been eagerly waiting for their names to be released. Praying for all involved and both of those officers as well as their family members. Hoping for a speedy recovery and thrilled to hear that both should recover!

Kyle Florer was one of them he works for Pendleton County. He was helping serve the warrant.

Thanks for letting me know. He was not one that I knew - not that it matters. Very tragic situation and I hope that he recovers quickly.

Want to update those who know and those who don't, my son Kyle Florer is one of the deputy's who was shot in Walton last night. Kyle was shot three times, two of which were superficial wounds to the left side and one that went in a downward motion into his side lodging in his groin area, missing his heart by maybe an inch striking a vein.  They took him to surgery and decided that the best option was to not operate, leave the bullet and closely monitor him for internal bleeding..this is the safest route at this time.  Kyle is awake and still in shock right now.  We cannot thank everyone who helped save my son, the outpouring of love and support from past coworkers, and the Boone County Sheriff's officers was overwhelming, nothing short of amazing.  Kyle's wife is probably one of the strongest women I ever met and I love her so...never a call I would ever want anyone else to get.. when I say God is always there, my son is living proof... Prayers to the other officer and his family....we are all so thankful... I will update when I can so please keep him and his wife and kids, as well as all of us in your prayers.

Here's to a speedy recovery for the officers, scary stuff.

I believe Kyle was released from UC and escorted home within the last hour. So far so good for both deputies.
