Didn’t NCC used to be a really good team or did I dream that?

They didn’t use to be really good. They were fantastic. They had a 10 year stretch 2005-2015, they played in 7 State Championships, with a 4-3 record. One of the premier programs in the State of Kentucky.

Legendary Beechwood Coach Noel Rash used to say that NCC was Beechwood’s biggest rival. (Due to being similar sized schools who used to be in the same District in 1A)

Happy that both teams are playing again after a brief hiatus, but wish the game had the rivalry juice like it used to.

Tigers pick the score tonight.

Is it personal?

NewCath was one play on offense and one play on defense last year from making the state semis.

Week to week it appears. Lots of young new faces up front last week. Great experience for district/playoffs. Really excited to watch the Freshman Meyer grow into his role. Great kid who gets it!

What number is he?

I think New Cath will be good when they get to 1A. I see potential.
