The battle of Gerogetown takes place on Friday the 29th at the birds nest. Kickoff is slated for 7:30, but it rarely starts on time. The 1-0 cards take on the 0-1 warhawks.

Scott county played a decent GRC team last week and dominated defensively. Timmy emongo decimated GRC, he had 4 touchdowns on offesne and an INT on defense.

Great crossing played a tough Franklin county squad and got stepped on. They lost 54-21, looking shaky on offense without their star QB on the roster after his transfer to Woodford county.

Scott county usually dominates this matchup, but last year 3 fumbles on handoffs and poor discipline landed the cards a crushing loss in their first home game, after 30 years of playing in other teams stadiums.

This season Scott county has championship aspirations in a wide open 5A, and a nasty taste to get out of their mouth from last year.

great crossing is trying to replicate the first successful season in their programs history. They still have Luke Ballard so anything is possible for them.

What do you expect out of this matchup?

Running clock Scott County.

Order will be restored to the county next week. Luke Ballard's going to have both hands full with that Cardinal defense.

I won’t be so confident to say the same. Last year we had a better squad than them and still managed to lose terribly.
I think the players and coaches learned a lot from that experience.

Scott county 21

Great crossing 14

halftime.

Not surprised by this score. Cross town rivals who grow up running your plays are bound to be a bit better at stopping it.

I expect us to break away in half 2, similar to what Franklin county did.

Great Crossing playing the Cards a lot closer than I expected.

I’m not the slightest bit surprised. Crossing has some talent, and knows our plays by name because they all ran them in youth. Scott county plays at a slight disadvantage but usually has enough skill to compensate.

County stuffs crossing on a 4th and 3 run.

The county takes over at the crossing 45 late in the 3rd quarter.
