Shannon Minor added to CCH varsity basketball staff

Nice addition!

Minor played basketball at Colerain High School & North College Hill High School and then at NKU. He replaced Kevin Listerman as head coach at Bellevue starting in the 2003-04 basketball season and left Bellevue after 2 seasons to take over at Finneytown in Cincinnati. He was head coach at North College Hill over in Cincinnati for the past 11 years and stepped down in March.

Nice hire. I wonder if he has a connection to Cov Cath with somebody on the staff or just thought it would be a great place to continue his coaching career. Smart move by himself and the school.

Have there been any other changes on the CovCath coaching staff?

They did just get a transfer. Brayden Myrick is enrolling from Mason County.

Brutal turn of events for anyone on the roster beyond Cash & McGillis hoping to be in the mix for offensive touches!

Interesting- I always thought the Myrick name was synonymous with Mason County-

I assume he will be eligible to play right away? Either moving residences or going public to private school?

Royal nation and the long line of Maysville Myricks must be in morning over this shocking news.

Agree with this.

If you're a CCH parent I can see maybe an issue, we heard the same rumblings with the old staff. But the truth be told it's always gonna attract kids from all over the area. This is a huge pickup though, averaged 19 PPG. Broke school record for 3s and coming from a basketball family. I expect to see colonels as heavy regional favorites now!

Agree!  A solid statement.  When you have good coaches, the players are going to come to you.   It happened with the prior staff, it will happen with this staff, it happened at Cooper and now will happen at St Henry too.

I don’t think Bradshaw has anything to worry about, but some of the other guards will more than likely lose playing time.
