With dead period almost here, which team/players stood out this summer?

Not sure how this changes your thoughts about Henry county but they have two incoming transfers that will really help them with depth this coming up season. Ethan Keller from Trimble County (11ppg) and Cooper Holland from Emience (12ppg). Both were counted on a whole lot on their teams last year due to lack of talent. Both are very good players with a good basketball IQ. Ready to fill their roles on a much better team. 

Hearing 8th Region Legend Jon Jones is returning to Warsaw to coach the Wildcats as former head coach Vance Sullivan resigns. 

Jones has 400+ career wins, and may get to 500 soon. 

However, the Wildcats are expected to be terribly bad as they have lost all starters/contributors, and have very little talent in this group. 

Can Coach Jones turn it back around?

Might not be enough basketballs to be passed around, may hurt more than help. Would also say both players stood out because their teams lacked talent. Nolin will need to get his shots up. 

Either way, the easy favorite to win the 31st.

I agree, but I do believe this will be a good thing on the thought that, Maybe having other scoring options Nolin will get free a little more then he did last year due to the fact teams having to respect other decent scorers around him. 

 

Keller played in the summer with Henry County and fit in pretty well and was starting at the end of the summer. He became more of a spot up guy and is a very good passer that will find the open guy.  Nolin still ran the show for the Wildcats and shot over 40 percent from three and over 55 percent from the floor which is a very good jump from last year, As his percentages were not the greatest. 
 

Will be excited to see what this team looks like come late November.

Wow, I didn’t know this.  I was already high on Henry County before hearing this news.  The Wildcats are gonna make some noise in the 8th region this season!!!!

I am heading Josh Leslie , former Oldham County coach , got this job. Is there any truth to this? 

We are right at 3 months away from the start of bball season in the bluegrass. I got in a social media / YouTube black hole yesterday lol.  I tried to find stuff on any 8th region kiddo. There was a similar theme- THERE IS ALOT YOUNG TALENT IN THIS REGION. 
Found some good highlights and info on:

Austin Sears (North Oldham-Soph)

Pierre Rondo (North Oldham- 8th grade)

Noah Beasley (Anderson- Soph)

Ty Bryant (Oldham- fresh)

Joaquin Siakam (South Oldham- Soph)

*** I am not saying there is not upperclassman that are good but I just kept seeing info on these guys. 
***Who did I leave off? Any more underclassman in the 8th region that is gonna make a splash this season.

Josh did accept the position last week.
