Trimble had football for 3 years after he left, took 2018 and 2019 off, and then came back. His last year was winless. .

Especially when there was 1 head coach for 18 years.

This job is posted again on their website. Anyone know what's going on in Warsaw?

Players call in and out on their side of the court. If you think that you are being cheated you can call for a line judge, and then the coaches (or someone appointed by them) will step in and be the judge of in and out. And it doesn't happen very often that a kid calls for a line judge.

Are we just gonna skate by the fact that Owen County has beat the #5 and #6 teams on this list in the last two nights? One by a last second shot in OT, and one by 32 points. Not saying they will win it all, by no chance, but I am saying that if they happen to make it to the region tournament I wouldn't exactly be looking past them if the team I coached drew them.

If they really want to play up, they can submit the paperwork requesting to play up when the KHSAA does redistricting after next football season. If they need a letter of reference, they can probably get one from every team in the district.

Who's that?

Congratulation Coach Hop. You won't find many that are a better person than him. Truly cares about the kids and their life after football. You could go as far back as his time in Owen County and still hear his players talk highly of him.

He was passed in Walton, because of his lack of experience, or so I heard. From what I have heard, he was passed in Warsaw because they already had the guy they wanted to hire in mind. What makes him a good hire for the Gallatin job is as follows. He knows football, and has played football at a pretty high level. Which does not always mean you make a good coach. But the outgoing coach recommended Cole for the position, or at least that is what I had heard. Small schools like Gallatin are often used as a stepping stone, which is no good for the student athletes. My understanding is that Cole was planning on staying at Gallatin for the long haul, which could have been good.

I don't have the name that they have supposedly given the job to. It's been tight lipped in Warsaw. But I do know it wasn't Mosier. Which would have probably been the best hire they could have made.

Any news on this job? Word on the street is they have a guy they are going to name, don't know who it is, or if it is true.

They might find someone that ends up winning more games than Coach Browning, but they will never find a person that is better than him. Salt of the Earth individual. Have fun and enjoy your free time Coach.

Second round is based off of district seeding. So if a game happens at the Igloo, it would be because Owen had upset Somerset. If Somerset wins, the Bracken winner goes to Somerset. In the 3rd round it goes to RPI rankings. Unless they have changed it again and I didn't see it.

Negative Ghost Rider. We were told that there wouldn't be any 6 team districts, and then they made that a 6 team district again. Only change in that district is losing Carroll to 3A and picking up St Henry. District 5, in alphabetical order, will be Beechwood, Bracken, Gallatin, Owen, St. Henry, and Walton-Verona.
