Nice win for the Indians. Cayden Reed will be playing in his first game of year on Sat vs Mason at Fleming.  Should be interesting.

Transfer….one year sit out required since last played for previous school.  Guess residence not changed.

Mason Co appealed the transfer, so he had to sit the calendar year.

Coincidentally, his first game back is against his old team at the Lake Kelly Classic at Fleming County.

Get that popcorn ready for 2:00pm Saturday!

Good road win for Montgomery. I believe Reed will be a game changer for the Indians. They’ve had a good engine in their vehicle this season but have needed a steering wheel. I think Reed makes a huge difference for them.

It'll give Tyce Jarvis the opportunity to play off the ball, which opens up a lot of options for MoCo.

This is a myth when it comes to transferring.  There is no appealing a transfer leaving your school.  Both schools fill out this transfer form.  https://khsaa.org/common_documents/Forms/Due Process Forms/DP06-Transfer Form for US Residents (PDF).pdf.  The receiving school asks for a waiver, which, in this case, was a "bona fide change of residence."  This was denied because it was not a true change of residence.  There is a section at the end for additional comments, but it was never up to Mason County whether he would have been eligible or not.
