Obviously. I am speaking about college football, in general, being about pageantry and rival schools going against one another. I hate to see that devalued. OSU winning the title is great drama. A mediocre Michigan squad preventing OSU from winning a title is even greater drama. I suppose you could argue the "They overcame adversity" angle, but it doesn't register the same because the last game of the year didn't mean as much.

Generally speaking, I agree. Texas was closer - if not equal - to OSU on the talent front. At times last night, it looked like men vs. boys, despite ND making it respectable in the end. It did not feel that way against Texas, though OSU was the better team.

Ryan Day continues to be an enigma to me. He's great at his job, but I can never determine if I like or dislike the guy.

I believe the line had OSU favored by 9. With a short bit of time ND had it covered....... until the late field goal. Bet several folks lived "The thrill of victory.......and the agony of defeat" lol. I imagine a bunch of assistant coaches around the country are wearing out the Portal site today!!!

The last I saw was OSU (-8.5). The same still applies with it getting to 8, then jumping back to 11.
