Talked to some coaches I can confirm he has transferred. He will battle sophomore Chase Stonecipher for the QB job. Graves has a good problem. They have 3 kids who can play quarterback. The other is Raygon Mathis, but he’s special on the defensive side of the ball too. I imagine they’ll want Houston or Stonecipher under center so Mathis can be in other places.

I went to his retirement dinner, good food, lots of tributes from former players and some coaches were there from Paducah Tilghman and Hopkinsville, Caldwell County, Owensboro and Milan Tennessee.

We are practicing. We already have a hickup with Robbins out practice with a broken foot. But he might be back for the Graves game , Kirby is getting the reps at this point. 

I hear we we will have a good defense. The line will determine how far we go as we have plenty of skill players. I expect us to compete for a State Title but not as the favorite. Expecting big things from England this season as he should be one of the better backs in the State. 

 

Isn't Kirby the starting DB and WR? Thought we had some promising younger QB coming through that made the kid that transfered to Graves not such a big deal...Robbins don't need to be rushed back but needs plenty of rebs by mid season...hope he's back by Graves game which has just gotten a lil more interesting... but I have also heard he could be out possibly 2 games..Belfry coming to 2A has made things harder for us and made 2A very interesting this year...

We have an incoming freshman QB with potential if that’s what you’re talking about but no way they’ve ever even thought about starting the season with a freshman at QB.
