Sports are a competitive thing played by guys with egos we couldn't dream of. I knew a guy that worked as a replacement in a role that has taken him in some major clubhouses and lockerroom. He's always said he laughs when the media reports "team turmoil" because if they saw how harsh some of the convos could get, they'd be scarred for life. Then they go out and perform just fine.
hrcarrier Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 I’m happy for the win and happy that we swept Cleveland. This was the first season sweep of the Browns since 2017. I know that the Battle of Ohio isn’t as big to many compared to how it used to be but this has always been one of my favorite Bengals games all time since I began watching.
futurecoach Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Good win! Now just keep winning and hope you get some help along the way!
nkypete Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 I was at the game today. Some random thoughts. My new thermal underwear from Dick's did nothing for me. I was cold the whole game (doesn't help that my section doesn't get any sun). I thought it was silly that the Bengals were promoting "striping" sections in orange and black for a cold weather game. Do it when it is warmer! I think Burrow is both playing in a spectacular fashion and making bad judgment mistakes in his attempt to will the Bengals over the line. Iosivas is quickly making us forget Tyler Boyd. Bengals crowd at the end of the half when York lines up for a 59 yard FG....no, no, no, no, no, YES! There was certainly a big odor of pot on the East Plaza before and after the game! I'll be happy if the Browns stay this bad forever. I thought the DL played well...I didn't miss Hubbard at all. What did someone have to pay to have "Squid 2" promoted like it was at today's game? There was some sort of Squid 2 skit on the field with the cheerleaders and then the characters visited our section and were taking picture in the aisle during a critical part of the game. OK, who can tell me how to claim my free Donato's pizza when the kid hit the 40 yard FG? Nobody was handing out coupons, there were no instructions on the video board and I can't find anything online about it. The whole stadium is supposed to get free pizza.

Not even close. Today Iosivas went over 400 yards on the year, which barely surpassed Boyd's worst yardage total in his last 7 years with Cincy. The 6 TD catches are the one redeeming stat for Iosivas. Bengals crowd at the end of the half when York lines up for a 59 yard FG....no, no, no, no, no, YES! Why would the fans question that move? No brainer IMO. Nothing to lose and York has shown he has the leg to hit a 60 yarder. There was certainly a big odor of pot on the East Plaza before and after the game! I am close to going on a screaming rampage on this skunk stick crap!! Are we going to have to deal with this stench everywhere we go now with it getting legalized!! I cannot yell loud enough how much this bothers me. People - I do not want to smell your crap! I'll be happy if the Browns stay this bad forever. Amen to that! I thought the DL played well...I didn't miss Hubbard at all. Agree, but Hubbard has played injured all year so not going to knock him. This striping game was originally planned for prime time, as this game was supposed to be played on Thursday until they flexed it out. Which last year it was colder too when they did the stripe game in prime time and it looked great. It definitely isn’t the same though when done at 1 o’clock.

I believe Iosivas has done everything that has been asked of him in being that third wide receiver. Boyd was fine (I had no problem with him since he had a lot of great moments), but Iosivas is a great story being a 6th round pick. In regards to the York kick, there was potentially something to lose. Cleveland appeared to have everyone coming to block the kick. A blocked kick returned for a TD would not have been a good way to end the half. People are warming up to York.

I'm glad I had a black coat for my section. I don't own an orange one. I did have an orange wool hat on but I didn't care. 1
