I think people are forgetting that there is a deep need for a conservative candidate with the Republican party. All of the candidates are a bit suspicious to them (McCain, Guiliani) and they are trying to weigh down the impact that the Mormon background will have on Romney's candidacy. If someone like Huckabee is percieved is as a serious candidate, they can get a lot of votes really quickly.

I tend to agree with HHSDad, often extremely difficult to overcome, with some voters.

After wading and listening to the top candidates, Huckabee sure seems like the best I have heard/read and as good as a choice as any of the top.

His campaign is gaining momentum. A month ago BGP nor LBBC had no clue who he was. Now he received 4 votes in the BGP Presidential poll. Only a few more converts and Huckabee will be an unstoppable force.

 

 

As he says, Pick Me, Huckabee. He doesn't really say that but it rhymes.

The Huckabee Express is gaining momentum and becoming an unstoppable force.

 

Even my parents who almost disowned me for voting for GW, have NEVER voted for Republican in their lives, see ALL Republicans as worse than Darth Vader and the Emperor combined have said they could see themselves voting for Huckabee after a Republican presidential debate.

 

Huckabee is obviously a candidate that can bring the sides together.

I agree with Newt. Huckabee is not my first choice, but he has dominated the Republican debates that I have watched. I think that he is trailing only because too few people have seen him in action.

How bad is Rudy! He never fails to mention 9.11 and now he's saying that his stunt of answering his cell phone during speeches when his wife calls is that "since 9.11" they are always on the phone with each other telling each other how much they love each other.

I like and agree with most of what Huckabee stands for, but to me he just doesn't seem (I might be off base here) not Presidential enough. He comes across as slightly weak...

Rudy has nothing but 9.11 and that's crumbling under him. He's a figurehead only and would be a horrible choice for President. (Unless Cheney wants to be his VP. )
