At the beginning of the year I was hoping the Chargers could give Male a good game this year.  Two things then happened.  Male, who lost several key offensive players, seemed to figure things out quicker than I hoped they would.  The other thing to happen was that Bullitt East's offense has had more trouble running the ball this year than they've had the last couple of seasons.  The Bullitt East defense has played well enough to win just about every game the Chargers have played this year.  The offense however, has struggled to get the ball up and down the field.  I've also made mention of it in earlier posts and to be honest I know people of tired of reading it, but the Chargers have had about 2 or 3 seasons worth of injuries in this one season.  It happens, I know but man it's getting old.  Probably won't mention again because it just sounds like excuses.  This is a 6A team. 

Unfortunately for Male they lost their best RB and and a large part of their offense in Chayce Burton this past Friday.  Burton was nearing 1000 yards on the season averaging 7.5 yards per carry and I believe had 15 or 16 rushing TD's on the season before he went down.  The good thing for Male is that they have more guys in the stable for Bullitt East.  It might however hurt their chances at making it back to Kroger this December. 

I hope the Chargers can compete this Friday.  Their oline will have to play it's best game of the season to do that. 

As long as Male has Antonio Harris they will be a threat but Chayce Burton is a hard RB to replace. I think Male wins 21-7. 

Got to believe the loss of Chayce Burton for the year will be a huge hole to try to fill.  Was told that the injury was a dislocated knee which has a multitude of severity levels.  Tigerpride94 is correct that Harris is an elite talent that is routinely double teamed and the Dawgs might eak-out a victory over B.E., but it will not be easy.

I have a feeling that BE will give Male all they want. This game could be competitive until late in the 4th quarter.

I agree, Glicod does an excellent job.  With that said, I have no clue how they even come close to turning a profit but either way I am thankful for them. 

BE is going to have to be creative on offense.  Maybe break out the wishbone and triple option.  They aren't going to "outathlete" Male and they aren't going to be able to run it right at them.  Even though Male is without Chayce Burton, this is still going to be a tall task for BE.  Fern Creek was able to get some pressure on the Male QB last week and their defense kept them in that game.  Hopefully BE can do the same.  There are a couple of individual matchups I'm looking forward to seeing on the field, but for team-vs-team, I think Male just has too much.  I'm not optimistic that the BE offense will be able to do enough and that'll put too much pressure on the defense to try and be perfect.  I'll go with Male to win 35-7.

BE holds Make to three and out. Then throw an int on 3rd and 5. Male takes it inside the 10 then BE is able to keep them to a FG.

After seeing each teams first drive, BE has a serious chance in this one!

BE takes it into Male territory but drive stalls out around the 25. They were able to move the ball and were also aided by a couple of 15 yard penalties. 

Game is extremely chippy early.  Already 6-15 YD penalties for late hits or dead ball fouls.
