Boyle comes into this one with a 41-0 shutout against Lincoln County. The clock started running late in the second quarter in that one. Demauriah Brown had a couple scores, Montavin Quisenberry had a couple scores as well. 

Wayne comes into this one off a 9 point win over Russell County. QB Korbyn Edwards led the way with 209 rushing yards and 3 scores on 37 carries. Edwards is having a solid year with 1300 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns on the year from his QB position. 

This game is for the 1 seed and the district championship. Can Wayne County hang around long enough to pull off the upset, or does Boyle extend their win streak? 

Boyle wins, but do they play sharp?  They have a tune up with Frederick Douglas next week that I'm looking forward to.  FD is the best game they could play right now to get them ready for a potential Paducah Tilghman game.

Boyle is obviously a heavy favorite. A Wayne loss puts the Cardinals at 2-2. If Taylor County beats Lincoln County, then Wayne, Taylor, and Russell would all be 2-2 and we'd move to the RPI to break the tie. Right now Wayne would have the advantage and get the 2-seed but that could change over two weeks. There will certainly be some Monticello eyeballs on that Taylor/Lincoln game.

Wayne received the opening kickoff,  and by the time 22 seconds had elapsed in the game, Tavi had a TD run called back due to a holding call and had a TD catch that stood. Boyle led 7-0 with 11:38 left in the 1st qtr. That pretty much sums it up.
