Another factor is SK defense is on the field a lot, can’t get off without allowing a score and then SK’s potent offense scores quickly and then the gassed D is back out there again.  Hard to hold back the reins to run clock and give D a breather.

Right, I see a lot of three an outs for the SK offense.

  • Not relevant to the game, but earlier this week I drove from Crittenden to Maysville via, among other thoroughfares, KY 177 and Flour Creek Road.     Those are backroads.

I think Ryle may score 60+ the only reason they may not is if this game goes to a running clock.

You may laugh I guess I would to if my team was giving up over 38.5 points per game and have the worst rush defense in 6A and are playing the probably the best team on their schedule and a common opponent in back-to-back weeks beat you by 10 and lost to Ryle by 28 so that is a 38-point difference. Another common opponent Cov. Cath. was a whopping 55-point difference. I guess we will see.

I was looking at 6A stats to see why Simon Kenton's defense is bad and they are #30 in rush defense in 6A giving up 245 yards a game. Hard to win games when can't stop the run. Only way I see Simon Kenton having a chance at winning is for Ryle to have multiple turnovers and Simon Kenton score off of them.

Agreed! Keep the ball on the ground if you are Ryle. Ryle held a “very good offense” to 0 points last week so hopefully that energy carries over.

Ryle will not be lulled into thinking showing up is all they need to do. SK will play their best game of the year and I also think they play their best athletes both ways to have any shot of pulling the upset. Go Raiders!

The rain is coming.

True but it should push through in the next couple of hours and be dry for the games.  Low 60s, clouds and a slight wind tonight in NKY.

The perfect storm!

Quick 3 and out for Simon.
