Air Evac Lifeteam is heartbroken to share that three crew members from AEL Base 133 perished in a helicopter accident in Owenton, Kentucky, today," said a spokesperson with Air Evac Lifeteam.

The crew was based out of Grant County and was on their way to a scene to pick up a patient when the crash happened.

Same, all heroes trying to help others, so sad.

What a terrible loss of true heroes.  RIP.
