I thought one report I saw mentioned some power lines and electric going out for a short time when the crash took place. 

The FAA is investigating I assume we will have something official soon.

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) continue to investigate the crash. Kentucky State Police is also leading a separate investigation into the three deaths.

One unconfirmed report that I'd read online, stated that they'd hit a guide wire from a tower and then also hit some electrical wires. Neither has been confirmed. 

Also, apparently the proper term is guy wire and not guide wire. Just learned that. Or guyed wire actually.

Guy wire has many names: guyed wire, guy cable, guy strand, and guy anchors. People also (mistakenly) call it guide wire, as the name is derived from the term guy: defined as a rope, cord or cable used to steady, guide, or secure something. 

They was on there way to pick up a guy that was in a bad motorcycle wreck.
