St. X will travel to Floyd Central (IN) this Friday and kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.

St. X defeated Floyd Central 52-13 last season and based of the Frederick Douglass scrimmage the Tigers could win by a similar score. The Tigers look to have found their QB as Mason Trimble took most of the snaps in the scrimmage. Manny Gray looks to have a breakout season based on how he ran in the scrimmage. He reminds me of a miniature Barry Sanders that has a low center of mass plus showed some speed. WR Marlon Harbin is the leading returning WR and looks to expand on his numbers from last year. The Tiger defense played well with LB Karsten Busch getting a pick 6 and held the Frederick Douglass offense to one touchdown. The Tigers will need to improve in the special teams department after giving up a punt return for TD and snaps to punter were low and are at risk for getting one blocked. Kicker Logan Zoeller was a bright spot with his kickoffs sailing into the endzone for touchbacks.

Floyd Central was 8-2 last year and start the season ranked #56 in Indiana according to Calpreps. Floyd Central has a good sophomore class as they beat the St. X freshman as freshman last year.

Road games are usually tougher, but I would be surprised if St. X struggles in this one. The maxpreps ratings show St. X around 22 pts better. Can Floyd Central pull the upset or do the Tigers roll?

Running Clock for X!  Tough RPI hit out of the gate, but understand scheduling not easy for the Tigers.

I agree on the win. But St. X has the ability to schedule similar to Trinity. This says more about FC's willingness to schedule up imo.

If I was a neutral observer, I would attend the Manual/Central game. Best game in Louisville.

Thought about that one too. Probably will be a game time decision for me.
