Fryman and Erdman were not utilized in this scrimmage like they normally would be in a full game.  So if it’s head to head I’d give the nod to Beechwood’s

I am told the starters are done and the two teams were pretty evenly matched.

If they where playing they would have scores 7 times by now.

Any way you look at it, Ryle won. 2-2 with the 10 play. Ryle also had a long TD called back.

After the 10/10 format, they ran a full quarter and kept score. Ryle won 7-3 while missing a short FG.

Both offenses were vanilla. Ryle was playing without both their DE’s, a starting LB, and Safety. 

Great scrimmage for both teams. Beechwood’s new additions to the field are really nice. Great venue!

Yes Beechwood kicked a FG.  I don’t see how you could say either team won or lost with the format.  I thought both teams looked a little sloppy.  Ryle has some good skill players but looked slow and unathletic up front.  The Savage kid is the real deal.  Really runs to the football and tackles hard when he gets there definitely a power 5 recruit.  Cusick looked really good for Beechwood with a touchdown catch on offense and a pick 6 on defense.  Beechwood never got Erdman or Fryman involved.  I can’t remember if Fryman even made a catch.  Beechwood’s offensive line looked good especially the big kid from Moeller.  He’s the first kid you want to get off the bus.  The kid really looks the part.

Ryle first 10 > Drove to about the 20 then on their 10th play Beechwood interception in the end zone

BW first 10 > 23 yard TD pass on play 6; couple nice 25 yards passes in the next 4 plays but no score

Ryle second 10 > BW pick 6 on play 6; next play 5 yard catch and 65 yard run for Ryle TD

BW second 10 > Like Ryle's first possession, drove length of field then kicked a 27 yard FG

BW 17 Ryle 7

Live quarter play

Ryle QB scrambles around left end for a 65 yard TD 17-14

BW 3 plays and punt

Ryle 10 play drive then they miss a 36 yard FG try

BW 6 play drive ends with a 39 yard FG for BW 20-14

Ryle won because there was a scoreboard that kept the score during the quarter. Again, Ryle won 7-3 w/ a missed FG that would have been 10-3. Looked like Ryle controlled that session.

I agree it was fairly even, but Ryle won without 4 key players.

Oh right Ryle won because the score was 7 to 3 after 1 quarter of play and we can disregard what happened on the 10 play controlled scrimmage.  Also when your QB ran the long TD multiple Beechwood defenders pulled up because you could not hit the QB.  Get real dude. Also one of the Ryle TD got called back on a holding call.  I though it was about as even as you play but I though both teams looked sloppy.  But no way you could say Ryle won the game because they didn’t play a game.

Come on let Ryle think they won a scrimmage. Lol
