Ryle vs Beechwood (Scrimmage)

Ryle travels to Beechwood for a scrimmage tonight. Post updates here.

Ryle did not score on their first set of ten plays.

Beechwood scored in six plays.

Beechwood scored first on about a 25 yard TD pass.  Then I think Beechwood scored again on a pick 6.  Then Ryle scored on a long screen pass.

So 2-1 Beechwood right now.  If I am wrong I will get it cleared up.

I am told Beechwood is packed for this scrimmage.

High expectations for both teams for sure.

Also, apparently there is some question on how aggressive you can go after a QB in this scrimmage so I am not sure what to make of the TD.  Either way, 2-2.

While it may have resulted in a questionable touchdown, that is smart. Both quarterbacks should have big seasons.

Ryle first long score was penalized.  Right?  ALS there’s been too many pulled on Beechwood’s defense, half linebackers and one of the main safety’s was out.

All the noise aside, how would you access the two teams?  Pretty close to equal?  Something else?

Beechwood with a 40 FG.  I am going to call it 2.5-2 Beechwood right now.  Scrimmages. 🙂

If they are going to compete for a title in 6A it better be Ryle.

Beechwood’s focus seems to be concentrating on working on the run game on offense and getting other receivers up to speed with the veterans.

Beechwood’s Defense it looks like they are trying to work on getting the D-line and Linebackers all reps as well as corners and safety’s.

 

Ryle looks to get better every series they are playing.
