Today it was announced Reed Sheppard will be assigned to the G-League. Shep was seeing some role-player-type minutes, but as the season has gone on his role has declined, and the one thing I thought he would be able to do (shoot) he has not delivered.

If his shooting has been an issue, that's obviously not going to work for him. 

Spend some time in the G League, keep collecting that check, and get better. He'll be back.

Oh yeah. Most end up in the G League and the Rockets have some experienced backcourt depth in front of him at this time. Granted, normally the #3 pick of the draft doesn't get assigned, but as I've said, in most years he would have been a later lottery selection.

And proceeded to drop 49 points in his G-league debut.

Heck of a player. Imagine if he had stayed at Kentucky for 4 years. Wow. 

In games I've seen, Reed is still a defensive liability even if his scoring is good.

I made the trip to Indy Monday to catch Reed in action.  KD was out and Reed started, Didn't have a great game, but had an ok game.  A whole bunch of folks from the Commonwealth were in attendance.

Wednesday night Reed was 9 for 14 for 27 points from the 3 pt. line.
