Interesting that the portal opens today and not later in tournament schedule. With that being the case, I am surprised there aren't more teams opting out of the NIT.

The portal shouldn't open until after the tournament, but that's for another thread.

Agreed.  The NCAA really needs to address portal issues because it's creating massive issues in terms of the postseason for football and basketball.

The NIT was an opportunity to get more court time for your players. Now many of those players will be at another school so no value in the team playing together more.
