Who is the most realistic hire?

Defending Champs need a homerun hire with their neighbor to the south breaking the bank.

Will be interesting to see who they go after.  Any chance that the acting coach while Harbaugh was suspended get a shot?

Sherrone Moore.   He seemed to be able to rally the team when Jim was out, so he knows the kids and the culture.

That seems to be the early word out of Ann Arbor. Saying it will take a week to ten days due to job having to be posted.

That is what I think Michigan should do.

This late in the game does UM have much of a choice but to hire Moore? Promoting within I am generally not a fan of at major universities. It is a hit or miss proposition with conventional wisdom believing these coaches just carry the same momentum forward. I get he won games while Harbaugh was out, but Harbaugh was with the team at all hours except being on the field on game days. Not like he was cut off from the team.

I think with all of the players eligible to enter the portal when a coach leaves, it makes sense to hire within and try to hang on to the rest of the players. Especially this late in the process. 

There is a direct correlation with Moore's rise on the UM staff and their success on the field.  I would give him a chance to prove me wrong if I were the UM brass.
