Beth Haven 59 Warren Central 47

Central will be playing very shorthanded for all of December.  They are without three players that will be starting for them come the end of January, and have another senior depth piece out until the end of December as well.  Some guys are going to gain some valuable experience, but the results probably will look strange the first month.

In terms of game details, Beth Haven found a lot of open looks from three, and did a great job nailing them.  They threw a 2-3 zone at Central that the Dragons didn't do a very good job of beating with passing to the interior, forcing a lot of outside looks that they didn't knock down.  After a tight first quarter, Beth Haven led by as many as 16 in the second before settling in for an 11 point halftime lead.  They pushed the lead to as many as 18 before Central used a 17-2 run to get it down to three.  They missed a potential tying shot, and the Bearcats pushed it back out from there.

I get it about the injuries, but this is a very nice win for Beth Haven, which is one of the smallest schools playing KHSAA basketball.  Its total high school enrollment is around 50.  Coach Stinnett does a really good job there.

Very nice win for Beth Haven which I have as one of my sleepers in the 6th region!

Coach Stinnett does a great job.

Having his kids on the squad helps as well!!!
