With the regular season behind us, what are you thinking about Top 10 in NKY. Using head-to-head results this year as the primary determinant to separate teams that could beat each other on a given night, here’s my list:

1-CovCath 2-Highlands 3-Beechwood 4-Ryle 5-Cooper 6-Simon Kenton 7-Dixie 8-Campbell Co 9-Lloyd 10-Conner

Spot on I believe. Cov Cath/Highlands could be an either/or but with Cov Cath winning I agree with this.

Looks right. Would love to see Ryle vs Beechwood. Preseason scrimmage was very close. Would be an interesting game. 

Flip Beechwood and Highlands. Other than that good.

Dixie played Beechwood close and should have won, but Highlands totally dismantled Dixie. With that in mind, I'd feel good about keeping them where they are. I know that's not a perfect system for comparing teams but I think it's a useful exercise in this situation.

Saw both teams once, Highlands would have their way with Beechwood. If nothing else, depth would be the reason why. If Highlands would stay patient on offense they’d have a very good shot of being undefeated currently.

I agree, especially as the season has gotten to this point. Ever since Highlands lost to Covington Catholic they have been a totally different team in my opinion. It’s too bad that Highlands and Cov Cath are in different classes and won’t have a chance to face each other in the playoffs, which is weird to still say that. Would have been a great game to watch again.

Beechwood played Cov Cath closer and should have won. I’m using your same flawed system, but I guess it is useful. 

Beechwood vs Highlands needs to be scheduled next year. It would be a good game.

I’m interested to see where this conversation goes, even if Beechwood had the opportunity to play Highlands and won the old Bluebird faithfuls would argue until their blue in the face that it was flawed or that Highlands was still the best ever!

Cov Cath beat Beechwood earlier this season, but even their own following would tell you offline that they barely got by in that game, especially if Beechwood would have changed a thing or two on the last few series of downs.

Regardless who feels their team is better or not, I sure hope NKY fans pull together to cheer on all of our NKY teams during playoff time and bring State Championships back to NKY.
