Male vs. Roncalli (IN) Predictions/Updates

Male (3-1) will host Roncalli (IN) (3-3) after beating Pleasure Ridge Park 43-8. Roncalli is coming off a loss to Brebeuf Jesuit (IN) 39-23.

Male looks to have things rolling and could be the new #1 team in 6A after Trinity knocked off St. X. Male has back-to-back top 10 wins over Trinity and Pleasure Ridge Park. Roncalli is a quality Indiana team but Male should win if they continue to keep playing at a high level.

Does Male keep it rolling or does Roncalli (IN) go back across the bridge with a win?

Roncalli is a 4A football program in Indiana - the state's 3rd largest division. They won the Indiana 4A state championship in 2020, they were a 14-1 quarterfinalist in 2021, and last year they were a 12-2 semifinalist, beating state champions East Central during the regular season before losing to them by a field goal in overtime of the 4A semifinals.

This year appears to be a bit of a rebuilding year for the Royals with their 3-3 record. They lost 20-6 in Week 2 to 6A Franklin Central (4-2), ranked 12th in the state, then in Week 3 they lost 14-7 to 3A Bishop Chatard (6-0) who is ranked 5th in the state, and most recently lost 39-23 last Friday to 4A Brebeuf Jesuit (3-2), who's ranked 30th in the state. Roncalli is currently ranked 33rd in Indiana by MaxPreps.

It sounds like in the Franklin Central and Brebeuf Jesuit games, Roncalli found themselves behind early in both games and then managed to score multiple times in the second half to Brebeuf.

That's what I thought as well, but I've watched parts of several Male games this season and have yet to see him at center.

He has played a little center, but not much.
