Rose Hill vs Raceland Predictions......

Featured Replies

What do you all think about this game?

As goes the whistles, so goes the game.

You've said it all...

This is definitely a pivotal game for bragging rights in the 16th. RH can expect solid, if not exceptional, performances from Queen and Terry. A lot is riding on the contributions from RH's young ones. If Gamble and Dundun can contribute like they have lately then RH's chances are greatly improved. Of course foul trouble can always rear it ugly head for the Lady Royals. Another key for RH is for Faulkner to play under control and shoot a good percentage from the field.

For Raceland Seales MUST have a good game for the entire game and not disappear at the offensive end. Porter must also have a good shooting night from the perimeter. As much as I love the way Vanderhoof plays, it may be difficult for her to get shots off inside against Terry and Queen. But Trimble has his girl's playing well and home court advantage could tilt the odds in his favor.

I think this game will go down to the wire with Raceland edging RH by less than 5 points. Really, its anyone's ball game........

As go the whistles, so goes the game.

This should be one heck of a b.b. game! The Lady Royals will have to be the favorite but the Lady Rams are very capable of playing with and beating anyone. I do think that by the post so far there is already to much speculation/worry about the officiating of a game that has yet to be played. That is not a "slam" on anyone, just I would rather see/read talk about the game and the players. Both teams are very talented. I will stick to my usual policy of not predicting on a Raceland game. May both teams play hard and stay injury free.:thumb: GO LADY RAMS!!!!

It's funny that I mention the terrible officiating in the Boone/Russell game and I got slammed. Now I read about this upcoming game and the fans are worried about the officials before the game even starts.

I guess my opinion about the 16th region officials was correct.

Good game, I am excited about seeing it. I think this will be to close to call. It will depend on who show up, pure and simple.

Were refs that bad in the first half when you were up 25-16?

I dont think there was much yelling from Boone section in the first half. My bad, refs made you shoot 16-60 and have 19 turnovers. Refs let Fortman drop 34.

You are right.

My reference to the whistles was to say that the outcome will probably be determined by how the officials call the game. If they let the girls play, Rose Hill has a much better chance of winning than if the officials nitpick.

If Rose Hill's seniors don't spend much of the game in foul trouble, Rose Hill will win. If the whistles are quick and constant, Raceland will win.

Therefore, as go ther whistles, so goes the game.

Terry is going to have a big game tonight, she has been in a slump of late, she is do a big game, Emily is consistent so I believe she will play good. It will be an interesting game. Whoever wins this one will blow Elliot out of the gym come Saturday night. Nice brackets to have the two best teams not even playing for the Championship game...Rocket Scientists

I knew someone would jump on my comment, thanks. The refs were terrible the whole game. Do you think Boone shoots that bad normally? Could it have been they were being fouled and no fouls were being called, maybe. If you read my other post regarding this game I gave credit where credit is do. I complimented the Fortman girl and the Okoro girl and also stated that Boone should have never been in the situation they were in w/the lopsided foul shots. They had the nails in the coffin and did not hammer them home.

Bottom line, any time a team from here goes down that direction, it is the same old song and dance, we get schooled by the refs in regards to fouls. Maybe it is because NKY plays a much physical game and the refs aren't use to seeing that and call more fouls on NKY teams. I don't watch the 16th reg play so you tell me, do they play a physical game or not. I know the coach from Russell made the comment that Boone would be the most physical team they play all yr. Yes, they are very physical but not to where you put one team on the line 43 times and you only see it 16 times, something is real wrong there, of course, IMO.

I'd guess that girls bb in the 16th is more physical than other regions. Okoro, Queen, and the entire BC girls team would be a few examples.

Please remember that it is a blind draw with one exception(The host school gets a bye). The draw is the same for both the boys and the girls. The boys championship game will probably play out with the two top "seeds" playing each other.
