I’m looking to to hear some details on our 1A teams from Northern Kentucky. Fill us in please with your opinions and thoughts.

I think NCC should run NKY 1A. After that, there's a significant gap, IMO.

I agree. Everyone will be chasing them. But I wouldn’t over look a Covington Holy Cross who returns quite a bit of talent from last season. Newport should be close behind.

Any scrimmage updates on teams like Covington Holy Cross, Newport, Dayton, Bishop Brossart? Or any other teams.

There are two NKY 1A districts this year. I do agree though that NCC is probably the best NKY 1A team this year. 
 

Newport now being a 1A team now does intrigue me. As I think they could do really well in 1A, and with the way they use the RPI now for matchups starting in the third round. Newport and NCC could possibly avoid each other for awhile. 
 

I think Ludlow and Brossart will be the top two teams in the other NKY 1A district.

New Cath scrimmaged Roger Bacon (OH) this past weekend. No word on how it went.

Bellevue and Bishop Brossart both had inter-squad scrimmages.

Dayton was part of a grid scrimmage at Carroll County along with Bracken County.

Lloyd scrimmaged Holmes.

Walton-Verona scrimmaged Campbell County.

Newport scrimmaged Bourbon County.

Ludlow scrimmaged Gallatin County.

Covington Holy Cross scrimmages Pendleton County tonight (8/8) and Dayton on Friday night (8/11).

Yes.  HC rarely hosts scrimmages.

Holy Cross 27-8 over Pendleton County in two quarters of normal action. There were 2 sets of 10 plays each prior to that and another set of 10 plays with the JV afterwards.
