Bronny James suffers Cardiac Arrest

Featured Replies

It sounds like he is doing much better.

Maybe it is the interactive, connected world we live in but I never ever remember so many young athletes having heart conditions/cardiac events.

Thank God for the training staff that were present. Without them, so many of these events could have ended much worse.

USC had another player who had cardiac arrest last July. That player was able to play in January following the incident.

I think, like most things, the internet will bring these things to light more and more. Especially since the whole country saw the Damar Hamlin incident in real time.

I agree but I also believe something has changed and there is an elephant sitting in the room that many people don't want to discuss.

I think the elephant is an elephant, and some want to say he's a hippo...

Whatever he is, he is big and dangerous.

I feel like there have been issues like this as long as I can remember. With today's hyper active social media we probably hear about it more now than 20, 30 or 40 years ago.

For sure.  But I wonder what the year over year statistics say and no matter what they say I wonder if we can trust them.

I have suspicions, but I don't have statistical evidence, outside increasing myocarditis numbers among the under 30 crowd.

I hope he doesn't rush back.  Heart ailments have terrified me ever since Hank Gathers & Reggie Lewis.  I am glad they are confident with the treatment.
