The once proud program has fallen on hard times.  Will be interesting to see what they do next.

James Jackson will not be returning next year according to Lincoln Athletics

This program is a sleeping giant in the region. The right person could be a big winner there.

It’s been a giant before.  What’s the roster look like?  The feeder system always kept the high school program at the top of the heap.

They win consistently in middle school, still. No heavy hitters, but all the players are still solid. Top 3 team in all grade levels in the conference. Roster is spotty at the high school, but there are some really solid pieces. Still have decent guards going into next season.

From what I understand, culture has spiraled downward. Lots of turmoil within ever since McWhorter left and towards the end of her tenure.

Definitely a position there should be plenty of interest in.

I would think so.  Nice time to jump into district with Garrard and Boyle being really down.  Danville should take a step back from what they've been.

Right, the question now becomes who is going to be #2 (DCA obviously at 1) in the girls 45th district. I still think Danville owns that with the pieces they've got but in my opinion, Lincoln has a shot if they find a disciplined coach.

Any chance they just admit what everyone in the 45th knew years ago in that getting rid of McWhorter was a mistake and hire her back?

I agree with others that if Lincoln makes the right hire here that they can easily get back into contention in the 45th and the 12th region.

New AD so can't rule it out. Same principal though. Interesting thought!

I would be surprised.  As mentioned, same Admin. team.  They're hiring a new Super so maybe if there is a connection there.

Ah, I see.  Whomever they hire I hope they stick around a while.  This will be the third coach they've hired since getting rid of McWhorter.

What a nosedive this program has taken in such a short time. It won't take long to build it back up in my opinion.

Have heard some interesting names being floated, seems to be a lot of interest in the job.
