I'll politely disagree. It all comes down to skill and/or potential. Can he shoot? Can he play the 1? Can he play the 2? How does he defend? Those are the salient issues in recruiting. The rest would only be supporting evidence for an offer.

Congrats to HC on the win, but this isn't a good sign for the Indians. Holmes is minus 4 starters and HC has to win it in OT? I don't see them being able to play with the Dawgs when everyone gets back, and this game just proved it.

The Bullogs will be fine down the stretch I believe. It sounds like the kids stepped up and played very hard and this will be a valuable experience for those kids.

It has no effect. It comes down to size, athletecism, and skill. All the rest is for song and dance.

 

Any D-I offers he already has will stand unless he waits too long and the school signs the guy behind him on their list. Any D-I offers he may receive this spring depend on where the guys ahead of him on a school's list end up. What the rest of the Holmes kids do have NO EFFECT at all.

Was at the game Friday night, and this is without a doubt the best coaching job Henley has done there in his 10 years. The coaching staff deserves a lot of credit for having Austin and our puppies ready to play.

When Duran comes back Feb 1st, everyone will have already been back. IMO this stretch of 5 games will help the Dogs in the long run because it's giving the younger players more experience and making their bench grow even deeper.

 

Holmes started 2 sophomores, 2 jr's, and of course Austin and almost pulled it off. When all the players get back, and Henley starts throwing waves of different players in there and having fresh legs in there all the time, it will only benefit the Dogs.

 

But once again congrats to the Indians on the win. As for Holmes, don't let this game get you down. It's a learning experience and we'll see Holy Cross again in a few weeks when we're at full strength. :ylsuper:
