That is a fact that he will be suiting up for Scott this year with his big brother on staff.

How does he get Eligible? Another one that I'm thinking didn't have a Change of Address when he attended NCC for One year. Maybe he did. Who's basement did he stay in? He didn't need one actually to go to NCC but now that he is going back to Scott doesn't he have to have an actual change of address? Maybe Financial hardship? I know some use the Religion hardship and in no way the State touches that one. Does NCC's AD just sign off? Because he can block it with no justification or fictitious rumor that they saw him out with his Brother at Dinner who coaches at Scott. The KHSAA will listen. Just interesting how some rules apply only to some and the others have to pay the ultimate price of sitting out One year. I just can't keep up with the rules. Good luck to this young man.

Didn't need a change of address to attend and be eligible to play at NCC last year as he was an incoming freshman. He could have enrolled and played anywhere he wanted last year as incoming Freshman aren't bound by any KHSAA transfer regulations. This year may be a different story since he did get varsity time last year at NCC, so potentially he may have to sit out. But if he does, it won't be because NCC's AD "blocked" it, as from what I understand, schools don't have the power to "block" a transfer. That's strictly up to the KHSAA. Hopefully, he gets a chance to play this year, because he's a great kid, and he will be a big boost to Scott.

I said he didn't have to have a Address change to attend another School. I knew that. It just gets Sticky now going back to Scott with Varsity time and with probably no Address Change in the 1st place. And yes, an AD can cause a holdup not necessarily a Block(bad term used by me) to make sure the process isn't a clean one. It happens. He is a good kid and hope he gets to play.

IF he never moved and has lived in the Scott school district the past several years, would it be a problem to go from a private school back to his "home" public school?

Sounds like Scott is going to be a very young team, with only 6 returning seniors (they only had 7 juniors last year). They show 20 juniors this year on the roster from the KHSAA Scoreboard, along with 16 sophomores and 7 frosh. Roster of 50, total, which is down from 68 last year and 66 the year before.

From the article, it looks like they have 2 players vying for the starting quarterback spot. Their Hudl roster shows juniors Paul Kramer and Jordan Goff both as QBs along with sophomore Trey Cook. Goff and Cook both saw playing time last year at QB.

Starting OL/DL Carter Sackett returns as a senior along WR/DB Dylan Giffen, WR/LB  Boomer Klusman, and kicker Charlie Woodring. Junior Kaymon Coleman is playing his first year for Scott (he was a solid basketball player for the Eagles last year), and will be playing WR/DB. Leading rushers will likely be junior Mason Rue (also playing his first year of football), and along with juniors Josh Johnson, who had varsity carries last year, and AJ Lemon who played primarily on the Eagles' froshmore team last year.

I'm definitely excited to see what Coach Hensley is able to make happen at Scott this year. I've never heard anything but compliments of the guy, and I love getting to see underdogs do well. In the wake of the departure of Coach Owens combined with Scott's move up to 5A, it's hard not to think they're more than likely the biggest underdog in their district.

I’d have to agree. And really, he’s in such a unique position. If he fails, who cares? Not many, if any, could take over and succeed with 3 weeks to take over a program. So the bar is so low. BUT, if he goes out and shocks the district with a game here and a game there. WOW, what a story that would be.

He’s got nothing to lose. Go out, coach up them boys up, and you never know what can happen. Regardless, I’ll be rooting for the Eagles!!
