Mike Archer Resigns

He got 500K from Coach O'Brien at NCST.

He wasn't going to get that money from UK.

Much has been made about Archer and the defense this year, but they did improve versus Tennessee and played a heckuva game against Clemson.

I have spoken to him a few times and is a super nice guy.

It will be interesting to see who Rich finds to replace him.

Brooks was the defensive coordinator for the Rams.

Cassity from UL?

Cassity says that going to UK isn't going to happen.

The others echoed the same sentiment, and Cassity noted he knew Kragthorpe from his time as an assistant at Oklahoma State (when Kragthorpe was an assistant at Texas A&M) and said, “he’s a great person and a great coach”

“I came here to coach at Louisville and my family loves Louisville,” Cassity said. “I wanted to pursue this avenue (at U of L) before I pursue anything else. When I took the job three years ago, I said the only reason I would leave would be to become a Division I head coach and that hasn’t changed.”

GASP!

UK fans, promoting how their coaches are so HONEST, and LOYAL, and TRUSTWORTHY all season, are now coveting a coach who claims that he has no interest in the position they offer? I know LMB and others would probably boycott home games if UK hired a liar.

;)
