Mike Archer Resigns

He got 500K from Coach O'Brien at NCST.

He wasn't going to get that money from UK.

Much has been made about Archer and the defense this year, but they did improve versus Tennessee and played a heckuva game against Clemson.

I have spoken to him a few times and is a super nice guy.

 

It will be interesting to see who Rich finds to replace him.

Brooks was the defensive coordinator for the Rams.

 

Cassity from UL?

Rich Brooks was the Head Coach with the Rams and defensive coordinator for Dan Reeves at the Atlanta Falcons who went to the Super Bowl one of those years.

Lexington - Former Steelers coach Bill Cowher didn't take long to come out of retirement. He has accepted a 4-year contract to become the Defensive Coordinator at the University of Kentucky...

For the past 3 years every coach at Louisville has been ''happy'', but always willing to entertain offers.

UK fans, promoting how their coaches are so HONEST, and LOYAL, and TRUSTWORTHY all season, are now coveting a coach who claims that he has no interest in the position they offer? I know LMB and others would probably boycott home games if UK hired a liar.

 

Probably not 02, I would think that you will still go to U.L. games after getting the shaft from your great and oh so loyal B.P.. So I think that U.K. fans will get by this, imo most are glad he (Archer) is gone. Nice attempt at trying to divert attention off of all the U.L. fans that were claiming "no way Petrino leaves U.L." though.

You are correct in that I did think that you were taling about Archer. Now that you have cleared up that you were talking about Cassity then I have question. Why would U.K. want him? As for on a high horse about Petrino I, for one U.K. fan am not on a "high" over it. I along with others i believe were just bringing up the FACT that when Petrino's loyalty to UL was questioned in earlier threads the U.L. faithful went nuts in defending him and that there was no way that he would leave the Cards. A thread was even started I beleve when he signed his 10yr. contract stating in so many word s that "this proves his loyalty". Personally I really could give a flip less what U.L. does or when. I am glad that I could amuse you though bc I sure get a kick out of your post.:lol: :lol: :lol: .

I can't imagine why UK would like Cassity to replace Archer...
