Unless the Rams can score on special teams, they have given no indication that they can generate enough offense come back from 3 scores down.

Other than those three plays, both offenses have be pressed hard and had trouble move the ball and doing what they normally do.  Both defenses have been able to cause trouble for the opposing offense.  

For Raceland to get back in the game, they will have to find a way for the offense to get some consistency.  They came close on their last drive of the first half until it stalled in Pikeville territory.  

I think if Pikeville needs to score again, they would be more successful on offense by faking to Birchfield and someone else running the ball, or a play-action with Birchfield and throwing to Hensley.  Using Birchfield at bait basically.  That would be the better game plan to me.  If they don't need to score, I would say keep giving it to Birchfield and let him grind the clock with three and four yard gains and possible busting one wouldn't be a bad thing either.

It can be demoralizing to play well and have three measly plays go against you to that degree. Three snaps. That's it.

Raceland's opening drive of the second half should tell us a lot about how much fight they have left.
