I think Georgia summed up any assumptions about who the best is, which I’ve believed to be best since the season started. And the game wasn’t as close as the score indicates. Georgia dominated Tennessee today.

Tennessee is still in decent shape.   OSU struggled with Northwestern, so GA probably vaults to #1.  With Bama sitting at 6, you'd assume Tennessee drops to no worse than 5th.   OSU and Michigan still have to play and Tennessee should win out with games against South Carolina, Vandy and Mizzou.  They are only in real trouble if Alabama wins the West and absolutely throttles the Dawgs in the SEC championship.

To be fair, Tennessee had beaten 5 teams ranked in the top 25 at the time they played them. They also really didn't struggle against against a weaker team the way Georgia had against Missouri and even Kent State to an extent. Having UT ranked above UGA wasn't a real stretch based on how both teams had played to date.
