Why would you want a 7'3" high school kid playing on the perimeter?

Because he can make 3’s from what I have seen/read. I’m not expecting him to break down defenders off the dribble and blow by them. And it’s not like he won’t go in the paint at all. Obviously that’ll be where he does best but it’ll make a huge difference if he can keep defenses honest from 3.

This summer was great no one would guard him in 3 point land. The defense would have an extra guy down low…boom 3. Oh crap we can’t leave him alone. After that every once in a while he would cross through the paint and they would be double teaming him and both would follow him leaving the paint wide open for a team mate.

It is also how college and pros play….Euro. If he wants to continue to grow he NEEDS to hit the 3.

College preparation. Big does not mean post anymore. Look at the guy 80% of the NBA will be tanking for this year. Gotta have more to your bag than a dunk and a hook shot.

From the games I watched he’d usually hit 1 and the defense would think it’s a fluke and then he’d hit another one. There’s 6 points right there. It’s a huge game changer. It also opens up the floor for the rest of the team.

I guess I'm just behind in the times.  Let's get them ready for the NBA while in first grade. LOL

Isn’t he a senior committed to a D1 program? I don’t think it’s unreasonable for him to expand his game at this point.

Ok, before I cross the line here, I'll just step back.

11.9, 7.4, 3.8, 1.6, 1.3, .08 points per game from those you mentioned above for SK.

Where will the other points come from this year. Big Sr class last year and top 2 scorers are gone. Only real scoring threat is Krohman. Seems like a down year and maybe .500 if that.

The Pioneers don't have down years in basketball they just reload! That is probably a 10 region thing.

I expect Dynes and Krohman to have both have a big year. SK looked pretty solid from what I saw in the summer. I don’t wanna put too much stock into summer ball but it seems like SK will be good.

No reason to do that 1/4s…

I see very little reason for a 7’3 kid to play on the perimeter in HIGH SCHOOL.

He needs to help his team garner wins. Posting him up and getting him the ball does that. He would be doubled down low, letting others roam free.

If a college coach wants to play him outside so be it.

SK is better if he’s in the paint!

Nobody is blocking his 3 point shots.

Exactly, maybe I haven't passed my time.

On the other hand, what high school kid is going to block his shot in the paint?  The last time I researched it, the shot from point blank range is still a higher percentage shot than a three.
