I fly once, sometimes twice, a month two the west coast; usually CVG to SAN. I agree 100% standing in the isle as soon as the plane lands drives me nuts. They always end up in the way. Stinky food guy is another good one.

I have a new one for you... on two separate instances recently I have been seated next to younger people (probably early 20s?) and it drove me crazy hearing their music through their headphones as they slept. I usually listen to audiobooks or podcasts on planes and I could hear their music through their headphones even with my AirPods in for the entire flight. I have no clue how listening to music that loud is enjoyable. If it happens again, I will definitely be asking them to turn it down.

Yea, I've noticed that some too.  People wearing the larger over-the-ear headphones.  You're right, I have no idea how they sleep with the volume up that loud. I wear my AirPods Pro, with the noice cancelation, and those have done a pretty good job of blocking outside noice.

Most people don't even know those are at the airport.  You see some interesting people there.  I've been at LEX when the prince of Dubai landed at the FBO to go check out his race horses. We landed and there were five blacked out Suburbans on the tarmac and I asked the guy at the FBO who was landing, he was not willing to disclose that to me lol.

Sounds like that would be an extremely cool place to work!

I would say it is.  It's pretty lush.  They have luxury catalogs and magazines laying around where you can order a $10,000 neck massager lol.  Free toothbrushes and stuff in the bathrooms.  Mouthwash dispensers.  Free showers with towels and things.  

They get to see all the private jet people.  

Pretty much everything everyone has mentioned.  I did have an adult yelling at some singing kids on a turbulent flight.  And it was the back of a Frontier plane where we were all paying about $100.

I have said it before, I look at flying as an exercise in self-discipline.  There is a lot I don't like about it.  Generally speaking I feel like a second class citizen.  I was on a streak for awhile but it has been 50/50 the last two times I flew.  I have been physically searched 10 out of last 12 times I have flown. The best I can tell, the issue is I have sweaty balls when I fly and they think I am hiding liquids around my unit.  They even once recommended I get different underwear with a higher cotton content.  

Of everything, the immediately standing up when the plane gets to the gate always gets me.  I just sit until everyone in front of me exits the plane and then I bolt.

I prefer the window too, and will never, ever, ever sit in a middle seat. I have flown first class a few times. I have gotten a couple free/really cheap upgrades, but have never chosen FC from the get go when purchasing tickets. If I can get bumped up to first class for $50-$75, and I'm on a more than 2.5 hour flight, I'm moving up. While the meal and drinks are a nice touch, just having the extra space and comfort is well worth a few extra dollars for a longer flight.

I prefer an aisle seat.  A window seat is fine but it normally packs you a couple of deep in the row.  I had a middle seat recently and fortunately I had petite females on each side. 

I have only been flying Frontier recently and I never pay for any extras, I don't check luggage, I don't pay for a certain seat, and I don't bring any carry on (paid luggage).  All I do is bring my personal backpack and I get everything in it I need. I have noticed that Frontier has started putting me in the first few rows on every flight which is perfect for me.  Last on, nearly first off, and if there is a problem on the flight where our safety is in jeopardy it will be on like Donkey Kong.

We flew Allegiant several times and never had any issues, but once you add bags it ends up not being that much cheaper. You got two free ones on Southwest, plus a carryon, so that's why we usually fly with SW. 

We do have a ton of Delta points we need to use. We flew Delta to Florida last October and it was definitely a step up from Southwest.

It is funny and I really don't think that is the case but I will tell you a story about my dad.  My mom and dad use to fly a lot, all the time for years.  My parents always looked very professional when flying but for some of that time my dad had a pony tale.  My dad got searched every time when he had the pony tale and never when he didn't.  So there is that.

I agree some of the discount carriers really hit you will fees but in my case I avoid all of those fees.  I just flew round trip to Fort Meyers for $153 total.  That was a win!!  I will also add, I was on a brand new A320 or A321 for one of those last flights and it was sweet. They announced it was the 18th day in service for that plane.

I am very vigilant about checking my bag at home and rechecking it.  Add to that reading the TSA rules so that I am always in 100% compliance.  I never beef when they search me, I just let them do their thing, never react, and just move on down the line.  Again, self-discipline for me.

I'm glad I don't have sweaty balls.  Didn't know that was a thing.  But, I have the TSA pre-check and just go through a metal detector not the body scanner thingy.   I never get searched, but I do have to carry my helmet in my carry on, and sometimes someone gets jumpy about that and they search it.  But all-in-all I guess I get pretty lucky on the searches.

 I'm with you on not checking though, I have a carry-on and "personal item", check nothing, they lost my luggage when I was going to work a few times and said I was done with that.  

But, I have wondered if I don't get searched because of the brand of bags I carry.  I have a TravelPro roll-on and a matching TravelPro Underseat bag, the same brand that just about all flight attendants and some pilots use.   Great luggage, the lightest empty I have ever seen and well made.
