Very smart coaches who understand the game and how to teach it can be found on almost every street in Louisa. From Pee-Wee all the way up to High School. One of the many reasons as to why I am proud of this program no matter what.

:thumb: You have every reason to be proud. LC has a great tradition and takes a backseat to no one. We folks at Raceland have nothing but respect for what they do. I have so much respect that I married a girl from LC.:lol:

I am beginning to think that LC is a coaching factory. They have turned out a number of kids to the college level and who later are becoming coaches in high school as well as the college & professional ranks. It is a tribute to their great program.

I would like to bottle some of that water!! It would be a great investment.:lol:

Lawrence County is a very proud football program and everyone tries their best to keep it that way. Tradition is rich in Louisa and all the coaches who help from the youth league to high school levels understand this and respect it.

I talked to Gerad last night. I didn't ask but I'm assuming that it will be a GA job. I think he will hopefully get to work with the WR's a lot to free Joker up some. I really hope that he has an influence on Kennan to stay as they were good friends when he played there.

It is definitely a Graduate Assistant job.

GA is what he told my son at the banquet Sunday night. He will be missed by all, but it is a great opportunity for him. Good Luck Gerad!

I talked to him the other day also and he said that there was a GA spot open on offense (I'm assuming Harp left for another job?). So it's safe to say it's a GA position. Good Luck Gerad.

I went to school with Gerad. He is a good guy and deserves all of this. He loves the game of football, and I am proud of his success. LC is a huge football town and all the struggle has made things difficult for the fans. All LC fans know that this ship will get turned around and every program goes through down years. Congrats Gerad, I wish you the best of luck.

My pc has been down for the last few days so I am back on line and wanted to say that Raceland Football has lost a very valuble coach. I was in hopes that he would eventually be the head coach at Raceland and be there for a long, long time. Coach Parker was invaluble to the Rams sucsess in the last couple of years. He is respected by players, fans, parents and school admin. alike. I want to wish Coach Parker the absoulute best. This is an enormous opportunity for him and his wife. She was also a valuble addition the the Raceland Lady Rams b.b. team and school system. Raceland/Worthington schools are losing two GREAT people. I am glad we had the opportunity to have them for the short while that we did. Good luck at U.K. coach, and you and your wife just remember - "Orange Blood Runs Deep" and "Once a Ram - Always a Ram" Good luck to the Parkers in all that they do.:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Hey!! Welcome back. Great avatar. Excellent post.

Gerad is one of my best friends. He has done a great job representing Lawrence Co and really enjoyed his time and thinks the world of the folks in Raceland. He and Kandi are an asset anywhere they go and will forever be legend's in Eastern KY. We all hoped to coach together someday and I think Gerad made a great choice in going to UK. Those opportunities don't come around often and he will always have high school to fall back on. I look for him to stay in the college game though. He loves the CATS! He and Joker have always been close.

Brooks makes the call. It is an offensive GA with requirements to complete Masters Degree in 2 years.
