Lady 'Stangs Impressive

:fight: Lady 'Stangs ready to crush Pendleton County and Lloyd Memorial This Week. Looking like the 10th Region Favorite for All A and a Top 25 Team after cruising by Scott 57-41. With an earlier 59-41 spanking of Campbell Co. they only need to beat Calvary for the 37th District No. 1 Seed:dancingpa

I know it was only a scrimmage but I was told that Boone crushed Brossart. After playing 4/10 min qts they scored less than 30 pts. Did they have girls missing/hurt, what happened? Who do they have to get by to win the 10th region to get to state(not all A).

I was impressed with Brossart at the Bourbon Tournament just after Christmas....

Hiliary Butsch and Kaitlin Steffen both played well in that tournament, and the players fit Camey Geiman's system well....

I haven't saw Montgomery Co. yet and several other contenders yet, but Brossart will be tough to beat come region play...

I was at the game on Saturday night for Brossart and Scott. Yes, Brossart did beat Scott. However, Scott played very well against them. Steffen had a great night for Brossart. However, Butsch, got into foul trouble, and scored 8 points for the evening. IMO, it was not a cruising.

Brossart didnt play their best game of the year by far, but they also were without probably their best defensive player and three year starter Chelsea Harris' also. She got hit in the face in practice and missed the game she will be back this week for Pendleton and Lloyd. BBHS pretty much locked up the Number 1 seed with the easy win:walk: As far as the 10th The All A will be between Paris and Brossart (in opposite brackets) and in the 10th Region KHSAA it will be Montgomery, Mason, Brossart with Bourbon, Paris and maybe Harrison dark horses.

One of the consistent for BB from Kues to Geiman has been the scrappiness, defensive pressure and all-out hustle that the Lady Mustangs are known for. This along with their continual talent pool makes them a consistent 10th region power. When they were the best team in the region, it was because their offense caught up with their defense.

This year seems to be no different. They will struggle at times offensively, as they have not shown a consistent outside touch but with their hustle getting 2nd and 3rd shot opportunities as well as their defense providing scoring opportunities in transition, they will be tough.

10th Region Coaches poll has

1. Montgomery County

2. Mason County

3. Bishop Brossart

4. George Rogers Clark

5. Paris

No doubt that Brossart is a good team. And, maybe the score would have been worse, had Harris been there. However, Scott, IMO, played well Saturday night, even though, Brossart won the game. And, yes Brossart will definitely win their district, no doubt about that.

Montgomery County, Clark County, Paris, Bourbon County and Harrison County ... it's not going to be easy getting by none of these teams...:thumb:

You don't consider Clark County in that list?

What about Mason County? Are they considered in this list? They played a tough Central Hardin team last saturday and only got beat by 7. I consider them to be one if not the top contender for the region title.

From what I was told about the game with Pendleton County it doesn't sound like a crushing defeat to me; or has Pendleton County improved? I didn't get a chance to be a spectator at this game and have only heard secondhand.

The Lady Mustangs SHOULD win the 10th Region All A, but Paris could have something to say about that in the end.

However from what I hear, I believe Montgomery County will still win the 10th Region.
