An Eminence player was injured right before halftime of their game versus Owen County. The young man was air lifted by helicopter to the hospital. Early reports were that the young man had a possible ruptured spleen.

That’s quite the impact for a football game. What happened?

Sure hope the young man is OK, Prayers for him and his family.

    Prayers to the young man!

This is not the first time I have heard of a ruptured spleen in a football game, but it is very rare. I believe a player at Dixie Heights ruptured his spleen several years back. There are different levels of ruptures and the most severe can be life threatening.

Someone please update us on this when more is known.

    Prayers!
