January 4, 200719 yr For someone to start a thread about John Edwards declaring that he's running for president in '08! You guys are slipping, or becoming soft in your old age, or something! Not even one disdainful "aside" in any other threads!
January 4, 200719 yr Author Why bother? He's just a big . You say that and yet...who's your guy in '08?
January 4, 200719 yr Either Hillary or Obama will be the Dem candidate in 08. Found it very interesting the Mr. Edwards chose to make his announcement in New Orleans and vowed to help the poor. I guess that was better then at his multi-million dollar home.
January 4, 200719 yr I really have nothing against Edwards other then how he made his money. I do find it a bit funny that he stands as a protector of the rights of the poor and yet the multi-million dollar verdicts that he has won drive up the costs of goods and services all over the country.

I know a lot of attorneys, but none that work for free.

January 5, 200719 yr Didn't see it as thread worthy. We all knew he was jumping in. Now if Gore declares, that's news.
January 5, 200719 yr I know a lot of attorneys, but none that work for free. Maybe they should and really learn what it's like to be a working person.

January 5, 200719 yr Maybe they should and really learn what it's like to be a working person. If being an attorney was easy, everyone would be one and they wouldn't get paid so well. It might be a job you disagree with, but that doesn't mean it's not work. Should all rich men and women work for free to see what it's like to be a "working person"? If I'm not mistaken, Edwards grew up poor or well...definetly not rich, and worked his way to being a millionaire.
January 5, 200719 yr The Breck Girl has declared. Just had to wipe the late night cup of coffee off the screen...
