Wright State 72 NKU 71 (Horizon Championship)

Final tough loss for the Norse. Tough to understand after a timeout that neither Faulkner or Warrick touch the ball.

Terrible final possession and shot.

Feels like Vinson needs to keep attacking or pull up there. Kicking it back out made it extremely difficult.

Kind of surprised they didn't take it to the middle on that last possession. Credit to Wright State....kept at it when down 16.

Wright State doesn't call a TO after Warrick's massive three ball with 18 seconds left. Let their big time players make a huge play to go up 1 with 10 seconds laugh.

And then idk what that was by NKU on the last possession. They sure collapsed from about 14 mins on.

Agreed. Took up too much time to be that indecisive, and then a poor pass which eliminated a chance at catch and shoot.

Bummed to see NKU not make the tourney, always awesome when they do.

Too much dribbling, not enough passing, horrible spacing.

Easy for me to say but with the ball not in Warrick or Faulkner's hands, maybe Horn should use a TO as soon as that ball crossed half court with about 7 seconds left.

Shame. But Wright State sure looked much better down the stretch.

Not only kicked it out of the paint when he had an easy pull up shot if he wanted it, but he kicked it out to the one player on the floor that NKU did not want to take the last shot IMO.

That last play was one seen all too often these days in college basketball. Even trailing by just 1 point with no need for a 3 pointer the ball gets kicked out of the paint to the 3 point line.

AAU mentality. Can't understand not just taking it to basket, getting it on glass with everyone crashing

What is a big of a dagger is Vinson had Faulkner wide open at the top of the key with his defender doing splits:

And Langdon doesn't get it Faulkner either.

Vinson did not have a good game either night.  May have been suffering from some fatigue that freshmen encounter with a longer season.  Faulkner was open and had time to drive.  I would have liked to see Brandon in the game for a dump pass or stick back.

I agree. If Langdon isn't bringing the ball up the floor on the final play, he should have been on the bench with Horn watching it. Langdon actually was a liability the last 12 minutes of that game.
